Peter has been painting in several locations in Watch Hill recently. The village has more than enough interesting scenes to paint! Keep your eye out for him if you’re down that way.
It might be easier to spot one of his paintings though. One place to look is Christina Stankard Jewelry (100 Bay Street), a lovely shop that has Christina’s jewelry along with selected artwork and gifts. In June Peter supplied them with a couple of 5×7’s of the Watch Hill Lighthouse, and both sold right away! So, back to the lighthouse he went. Each lighthouse painting is unique since Peter paints at different times in the day, and the light and atmospheric conditions change as well.
Right next door at Ten Sandwiches (98 Bay Street), you can find a large painting of Peter’s. You can’t miss it! Ocean House itself can’t be missed when you drive or walk by with its stunning architecture and cheery yellow color; the same can be said of Peter’s painting. Stop by and take a look!
